Jeep expands its Avenger range with new eco-friendly hybrid model
Jeep has introduced a new mild hybrid variant of its entry-level model, the Avenger, priced at 25,000 euros and labeled as Eco. This model, with a length of 4.04 meters, is a versatile vehicle suitable for urban, road, and off-road driving. Despite its modern style, the Avenger stays true to Jeep’s off-road heritage since its inception in 1944.
The Avenger was initially launched in 2023 as a fully electric model. Later, a gasoline version with a Turbo 1.2 engine was also introduced for select markets like Italy and Spain.
The Arrival of Hybrid Technology
To capitalize on the growing demand for B-SUVs in Europe, Jeep has expanded the Avenger range with a new mild hybrid version. This variant combines a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with a 48-volt electric motor and a small battery, allowing for efficient operation and reduced fuel consumption without adding extra weight or cost. The mild hybrid technology enables the vehicle to travel over a kilometer on electric power alone.
The Avenger’s mild hybrid system features a 26-horsepower electric motor integrated into the gearbox, providing instantaneous response when accelerating and enhancing driving dynamics.
Improved Driving Experience
The hybrid system not only enhances fuel efficiency but also improves driving agility and comfort. The Avenger’s hybrid configuration reduces fuel consumption by 20% in combined driving conditions, with urban driving showing even greater efficiency gains, up to 28% compared to a non-hybrid gasoline model.
This technology makes driving simpler, as the vehicle delivers the necessary torque for challenging situations, despite the modest 100-horsepower gasoline engine. Additionally, the Avenger’s eco-friendly hybrid system qualifies it for the “eco” label in Spain, easing restrictions for urban driving in major cities.
Redes SocialesTwitterLinkedinBeloud
